GOING HOME AGAIN Blog Tour!

I’m so excited to be today’s stop on my sister’s blog tour! 🙂 I’ve read this book at every stage, from first draft to published masterpiece, so I think it’s probably unfair to post a review. Of course I’m a bit biased so I debated what I could write to make you believe my sister’s book is something you should read. Of course you should take my word for it and go out and buy this book RIGHT NOW if you haven’t already. Here’s what it’s about:

In high school, it was doubtful Michael Day knew Alyssa Jones existed.

Twenty years later, when the now-famous pop star returns home to coastal North Carolina, Alyssa gets a second chance to make a first impression on Michael.

On sabbatical from his failing marriage, Michael agrees to an interview with Alyssa, a journalist for the local tourist magazine.

When the chemistry between them ignites, Alyssa and Michael are hit with the harsh reality that he isn’t yet free to love her.

With Michael’s wife and son still very much in the picture, can Alyssa hold out until he ends his marriage for good? Or will she risk it all for a second chance with the one who got away?

Sounds awesome, right? Like OMG

That’s how you should feel about wanting to read this book. If you still need convincing, this is how you’ll feel after reading:

OK so Abby & I both love Psych.

If you’re reading this and you’re a Blockhead (a fan of New Kids on the Block if you’re not in the know), I have a few more reasons why you should read GOING HOME AGAIN. Michael Day is inspired by Jordan Knight. Get it? Day? Knight? 😉 That will become obvious to any Blockhead within the first twenty pages. Three New Kids have cameos as other male characters in the book. Read it and see if you recognize them.

Another reason I feel Blockheads should read this book: who doesn’t want to imagine what it would be like if you could actually meet and interview the man of your dreams and there be a spark like you always imagined there could be? Not even necessarily a New Kid but that guy you had a major crush on in high school who didn’t know you were alive. Abby has captured those feelings and made fantasy seem like viable reality.

It also helps that she has created characters you can relate to. Even if you can’t relate to Alyssa (but I know you will and love her), there’s probably a friend in Marissa, Haley and Randi that is like you. After all, they were based on myself, BFF Angi and an old friend, Wendy. We grew up together as Blockheads. She changed all of the women’s life situations for the story but the personal characteristics are there. It’s just a very fun read with something for everyone, especially if you like a good romance.

Here is my beautiful sister, by the way. 🙂
